His main areas of research concern development cooperation (La cooperazione allo sviluppo in Africa, Mimesis, 2016), political ecology (Forest and communities. Deforestation, Conservation and Socio-ecological Relations in the Mau Forest, Kenya, Edizioni Ambiente, 2023, with S. Albertazzi and G. Trivellini, (Kenya) and agri-food policies in Africa (\u201cFood Security and Food Sovereignty in West Africa,\u201d African Geographical Review, 2018).
